The Era partners with Open the Circle (OTC), a Chicago non-profit focused on social entrepreneurship and racial equity through the arts. Their current projects are driven by Chicago footwork dancing and electronic music. OTC is working with The Era, Teklife and other members of the Chicago Footwork community in three areas: dance education, documentary film and performance.
TEKLIFE
The Era partners with members of Teklife, Chicago footwork's premiere DJ collective. Teklife founders DJ Rashad and DJ Spinn are known for introducing the footwork sound to global audiences, especially through their album releases with British labels Hyperdub and Planet Mu.
